Aufgaben

In your new role, you proactively steer all aspects of patent management in a key product portfolio from a business point of view, drive overall patent strategy and manage the patent budget.
Within your area of responsibility, you support filing new applications, drive decisions according to our strategy and business targets, develop individual patenting strategies and drive enforcement of our patent rights.
Furthermore, you act as an interface between marketing, patent lawyers and inventors, providing support and guidance, improving expertise in AP on patenting through trainings, and ensuring transparency on patent assets and its value.
You are a key advisor to our operative and executive management in the area of IP.
Additionally, you are responsible for driving patenting across existing technology fields, e.g. between chemical crop protection, digital services for farmers and trait and seed technologies.
Finally, you support the creation of new patenting concepts and monitor competitor processes on new technologies beyond existing business.

Profil

Degree in chemistry or chemical engineering, preferably in organic chemistry
Knowledge on pesticide chemical classes, active ingredients, biology and compound-plant interactions, preferably by working several years in research
Experience in working with patents as well as profund understanding of patenting processes and legal requirements
Expertise in project management
Proactive team player with excellent English communication skills and passionate about the opportunities of patenting
